[THERMASTER_MSG]

Preserve delicate tannins, safeguard cork elasticity, and present vintage varietals under cellar conditions with the Thermaster WB-194B 490L Single Zone Commercial Wine Cooler Refrigerator. Purpose-built for Australian wine bars, fine-dining restaurants, boutique hotels, cellar doors, private clubs, and discerning residential collectors, this sleek upright wine preservation cabinet provides precision climate management for up to 194 standard 750ml Bordeaux-style bottles in a slender 655 mm wide footprint.

Single Zone Precision Cellaring & Serving (+5°C to +18°C)

Whether aging premium Australian Shiraz for long-term cellaring or chilling crisp regional whites for high-volume service, the WB-194B offers fine thermodynamic stability across an adjustable +5°C to +18°C temperature range. An intuitive, door-mounted digital touchpad with an illuminated LED display allows sommeliers and venue staff to calibrate setpoints without opening the door, preventing thermal spillage and preserving stable interior air mass.

Anti-Vibration Mechanical Architecture & Fan-Forced Airflow

Mechanical vibration causes kinetic disturbance to delicate sediment layers and accelerates chemical degradation in cellared wines. The WB-194B incorporates an engineered low-vibration compressor system mounted on acoustic rubber dampening bushings, coupled with gentle fan-forced evaporator convection cooling. Chilled air circulates evenly around each bottle tier, eliminating thermal stratification and condensation hot spots while maintaining resting stillness.

15 Beech Wood Shelves with Telescopic Sliding Rails

To facilitate effortless bottle selection without label scuffing, the interior is equipped with 15 natural beech wood shelves (13 full-depth shelves plus 2 half-depth shelves) mounted on heavy-duty telescopic sliding rails. The unvarnished, food-grade beech wood absorbs residual micro-vibrations and withstands internal humidity without warping, while the full-extension telescopic glides provide safe, ergonomic access to bottles stacked at the back of the cabinet.

UV-Protected Tinted Double Glazing & Humidity Control (>60% RH)

Direct exposure to ultraviolet rays breaks down amino acids in wine, leading to light-strike flaws and premature oxidation. The WB-194B features a double-glazed, UV-protected tinted safety glass door framed in commercial black aluminium. To protect natural cork closures from shrinking, drying, and failing, the cabinet maintains a constant internal relative humidity of greater than 60%. An integrated activated carbon air filtration system purifies the circulating air, neutralising ambient kitchen aromas, volatile cooking vapours, and musty odours before they can penetrate cork pores.

Commercial Colorbond Chassis with Integrated Security Lock

Finished in durable, scuff-resistant black Colorbond steel, the 1840 mm high upright cabinet fits neatly into back-bar passes, restaurant dining areas, and private tasting rooms. Cool-running, low-emission white interior LED strip lighting highlights vintage labels without adding heat to the storage cavity. A physical cylinder barrel key lock integrated into the base of the door secures rare vintages and premium wine stock against unauthorised access.

Energy-Efficient Australian 10A Electrical Connection

Operating on standard Australian single-phase 240V power with an economical 150W power draw (approx. 0.65 Amps) and charged with eco-friendly natural R600a refrigerant, the WB-194B plugs directly into any standard 10 Amp commercial wall socket. Supported by a comprehensive 2+2 Year Commercial Warranty, the 115 kg cabinet features heavy-duty adjustable levelling feet to ensure stable, vibration-free operation on varied flooring surfaces.

Daily Care, Maintenance & Cellar Preservation Guidelines

To protect wine investments, ensure stable humidity, and preserve mechanical longevity:

  1. Power Isolation: Before cleaning interior walls, rearranging shelf tiers, or replacing air filters, power down the unit via the digital control panel, isolate the wall switch, and disconnect the 10A plug from the outlet.

  2. Double-Glazed Tinted Glass Care: Clean both sides of the UV-tinted glass panel using a soft microfibre cloth and a neutral, streak-free, non-ammonia glass cleaner. Never spray cleaning solutions directly onto door gaskets or beech wood surfaces.

  3. Natural Beech Wood Shelf Maintenance: The unvarnished beech wood shelves are designed to absorb humidity without imparting synthetic chemical aromas. If a spill occurs, wipe the affected shelf immediately with a clean, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Allow the wood to air-dry completely before restocking. Never apply wood oils, polishes, bleaches, or chemical detergents to the shelves.

  4. Telescopic Rail Inspection: Periodically check the stainless steel telescopic rails to ensure they remain free of dust and debris, allowing smooth, friction-free extension.

  5. Activated Carbon Filter Replacement: To maintain clean air circulation and prevent ambient aromas from permeating corks, replace the interior activated carbon filter cartridge every 12 months.

  6. Condenser Louver Dusting: Inspect the rear ventilation grilles every 3 to 6 months. Disconnect the electrical plug and vacuum or brush away accumulated dust and lint to allow unrestricted heat dissipation and protect compressor efficiency.

  7. Drainage Clearance: Check the internal condensate drain hole at the rear base of the cabinet during routine checks to ensure it remains free of loose packaging lint or debris.

Installation, Placement & Operational Guidelines

The Thermaster WB-194B is engineered for front-of-house dining rooms, tasting areas, and private residential cellars:

  1. Standard 10A Electrical Connection: The wine cooler draws an economical 150W on standard single-phase 240V power and comes fitted with a standard Australian 10 Amp plug. Connect directly into a dedicated commercial wall outlet. Avoid the use of domestic extension cords or double adaptors.

  2. Vibration-Free Levelling: Position the 115 kg unit (exceeding 320 kg when fully loaded with 194 bottles) on a flat, level, and structurally solid floor. Adjust the heavy-duty levelling feet so the cabinet stands perfectly plumb. Correct levelling eliminates cabinet vibration, ensures smooth telescopic shelf gliding, and prevents door seal leakage.

  3. Ventilation & Airflow Clearances: Maintain a minimum clearance of at least 50 mm at the sides and 100 mm at the rear of the cabinet to ensure adequate ventilation for heat dissipation. Never enclose the unit into an unventilated joinery cavity without adequate air intake and exhaust vents.

  4. Thermal Separation & Direct Sun: Avoid placing the wine cooler in direct sunlight, opposite unshaded windows, or adjacent to commercial cooking equipment (such as ovens, fryers, or dishwashers). Continuous radiant heat elevates exterior glass temperatures and forces the refrigeration system to work harder.

  5. Proper Bottle Laying & Weight Distribution: Store bottles horizontally on their sides on the beech wood racks to keep wine in contact with natural corks, maintaining a tight, moist seal. Distribute bottle weight evenly across the shelves, starting from the lower tiers upward to preserve stability. Note that wider Champagne or Burgundy-style bottles may reduce total bottle capacity.

Freight & Delivery Notice

Standard commercial road freight delivery is available Australia-wide to commercial business addresses with level ground access or loading docks. Due to the 115 kg net weight and 1840 mm height of this commercial wine preservation cabinet, tail-lift delivery or a commercial loading dock with pallet handling equipment is strictly required. For deliveries to residential or non-commercial addresses, please contact our friendly commercial sales team prior to ordering to obtain a customised courier quote and confirm delivery logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I plug this 194-bottle wine cooler into a standard Australian 10 Amp power point?

Yes. The Thermaster WB-194B draws 150W on standard single-phase 240V power and comes fitted with a standard Australian 10 Amp 3-pin plug. It connects straight into standard commercial wall sockets with no specialized electrical work required.

Can the door hinge be reversed to open from the other side?

No. The WB-194B features a factory-fitted right-hand hinged glass door with an integrated door-mounted touch control panel and display. Reversible door options are not available on this model.

What is the benefit of telescopic sliding rails for wine shelves?

Standard sliding shelves can tilt or bind when fully extended under the weight of heavy bottles. The WB-194B uses commercial-grade telescopic sliding rails that glide out smoothly and support the weight evenly, allowing you to view and select bottles from the back row without scraping adjacent shelves or scuffing delicate vintage labels.

Why are the shelves made from unlacquered beech wood?

Natural, unsealed beech wood is the industry standard for fine wine cellars because it is completely odourless, absorbs micro-vibrations, and withstands humid conditions without warping. It also eliminates the synthetic off-gassing associated with painted or varnished timber, protecting cork closures from contamination.

What does the activated carbon filter do?

Because wine breathes through its natural cork over time, ambient odours (such as food aromas, kitchen grease, or chemical cleaning residues) can seep into the bottle and spoil the wine. The internal activated carbon filter continuously purifies circulating air, absorbing odours to maintain a neutral cellar environment.

Can larger Champagne or Burgundy bottles fit on these shelves?

The 194-bottle maximum capacity is calculated using standard 750ml Bordeaux bottles. Wider Burgundy, Pinot Noir, or Champagne bottles will fit on the shelves; however, storing wider-diameter bottles may reduce the total bottle count or require removing an alternating shelf tier to provide extra clearance.

How do I qualify for the extended 2+2 Year Warranty?

The unit comes standard with a 2 Years Commercial Parts and Labour warranty. By registering your product online with the manufacturer within 14 days of the invoice date, you receive an additional 2 Years of Parts-Only warranty coverage, securing four total years of manufacturer protection.
