The Roband E16RD Straight Glass Single Row Commercial Hot Food Display Bar with Rear Roller Doors is an expansive, narrow-profile heated showcase engineered specifically for high-turnover Australian bakeries, takeaway outlets, cafes, school canteens, catering venues, and service stations. Sized at 1,665 mm Wide x 420 mm Deep x 675 mm High, this streamlined benchtop hot food bar combines single-row gastronorm pan capacity with a clear straight glass front profile and smooth-sliding rear roller doors, maximizing visual food presentation across an impressive 1.66-metre width while occupying minimal counter depth.
Manufactured in Australia from commercial-grade stainless steel with a heavy-duty tubular frame, the E16RD comes complete with six 1/2 size 65 mm deep gastronorm pans and removable crossbars. Powered by long-lasting Dura-life stainless steel heating elements paired with an intuitive energy regulator control, this versatile hot food bar supports both wet and dry operation—with rear roller doors highly recommended for retaining internal cabinet moisture and heat when displaying dry or fried foods. Overhead heating and bright product illumination are supplied by stylish heat lamps housed in extruded aluminium hoods designed specifically to breathe. Operating on a standard single-phase 10 Amp plug-and-play supply (2,300 W / 10.0 A), it features an integrated front-facing analog thermometer and a safety lock ball valve drain for quick, mess-free end-of-shift cleaning.
(Note: If you prefer this display bar without rear roller doors, order model code E16).
Choosing the Roband E16RD Single Row Hot Food Bar equips commercial kitchen operators with an efficient, high-capacity, narrow-profile, and hygienic display station engineered to maximize food throughput while maintaining strict food safety standards.
Key reasons commercial operators specify the Roband E16RD include:
Rear Roller Doors for Enhanced Heat & Moisture Retention: Smooth-sliding rear roller doors make staff serving quick and effortless while locking in temperature and humidity—making this setup strongly recommended for dry and fried foods.
Slimline High-Capacity Single Row Profile (6 x 1/2 Size Pans Included): Single-row layout holds six 1/2 size 65 mm deep gastronorm pans (included), giving staff the capacity to display a wide variety of hot menu items within a shallow 420 mm depth footprint—ideal for long, narrow counter setups.
Straight Glass Front for Unobstructed Product Views: Crystal-clear straight glass front profile highlights prepared dishes attractively across the entire 1,665 mm width to drive impulse purchases while protecting food from airborne contaminants.
Standard 10A Plug-and-Play Setup: Draws 2,300 W (10.0 A) on single-phase 240 V electricity, connecting directly into any standard Australian 10 Amp wall socket without requiring electrical modifications.
Dura-Life Stainless Steel Elements: Heavy-duty heating elements deliver extended operational life, uniform heat distribution, and rapid thermal recovery during busy service periods.
Dual Wet or Dry Operation: Supports wet (water well) operation for curries, stews, and gravies, or dry heat operation for pies, pasties, and fried snacks.
Overhead Extruded Aluminium Heat Lamps: Overhead quartz heat lamps supply direct surface heat while illuminating food items. The extruded aluminium canopy is specifically engineered to breathe and dissipate excess heat build-up.
Safety Lock Ball Valve Drain: Integrated front-access ball valve drain with a safety locking mechanism prevents accidental opening while making daily water drainage fast and safe.
Precision Energy Regulator & Thermometer: Variable energy regulator allows precise temperature adjustments, monitored easily via the visible front analog thermometer.
Optional Accessories Available: Compatible with the optional Roband TR16 Tray Race and E-SNZ16 Sneeze Guards (Note: Sneeze guards cannot be fitted to the rear control side when roller doors are installed).
12-Month Commercial Warranty: Supported by a 12-Month Commercial Parts and Labour Warranty.

Delivery & Freight Notice: Commercial equipment requires dedicated freight handling. Please contact our friendly sales team for a custom freight quote if delivery is required for a residential address.
Setup & Water Filling (Wet Operation): Place the display bar on a flat, heat-resistant workbench. Ensure the ball valve drain is fully locked shut. Fill the well with clean warm water to the recommended level before connecting to a 240 V 10 A outlet and setting the energy regulator.
Pre-Heating & Service: Pre-heat the display bar for 15–20 minutes until the front analog thermometer confirms operating temperature. Place pre-heated hot food into the six 1/2 size 65 mm pans and set them into the frame. Keep the rear roller doors closed between servings to retain cabinet heat.
Daily Hygiene & Maintenance: At the end of trading shifts, turn off power, disconnect from the wall socket, and allow the unit to cool. Position a container beneath the drain outlet, unlock the ball valve, and drain the water completely. Remove gastronorm pans and crossbars for washing, then wipe down internal wells and stainless steel surfaces with a damp microfibre cloth and food-safe sanitiser.
